Description
Red is the color most people picture when they hear the name Cleto Reyes, and it is also the red-corner color, so a single pair covers the look and the rulebook for club shows and amateur events. If you have been looking for classic red boxing gloves in a range of weights, this is the one to start with.
Understanding the two closures
Lace-Up is the traditional pairing with red leather. The laces pull the wrist into a flat, even wrap, which many boxers prefer for sparring because it limits wrist movement on impact. The only catch is that you need a partner or coach to tie them.
Velcro uses a quick strap closure. It is the better choice when you train alone, do circuit-style sessions, or change gloves between drills. Both closures are offered in all seven weights from 6oz to 18oz.
Does red fade?
Red fades faster than dark colors under gym lighting and especially in direct sun. Keep the gloves in a bag between sessions and wipe them after use, and the color holds much longer.

Glove weight is about what you do with them, not just how big your hands are. Most adults train in 14oz and spar in 16oz.

- Open the gloves and let them air-dry after every session. Don’t leave them zipped in your bag.
- Wipe the leather with a damp cloth. Keep them away from heaters and direct sun.
