No Boxing No Life Red & Black Boxing Gloves FAQ
Are red and black gloves good for daily training?
Yes. The black areas hide marks, so the pair keeps its look with frequent use.
Do red and black gloves suit the red corner?
The red ties in with red-corner kit, though events may supply their own gloves.
What weight should I pick for bag work?
12oz to 14oz suits heavy bag sessions; 16oz is the usual sparring weight.
Size & fit
Glove weight is about what you do with them, not just how big your hands are. Most adults train in 14oz and spar in 16oz.
| Weight | Best for |
|---|---|
| 8–10oz | Pads, speed work, lighter boxers |
| 12–14oz | Heavy bag and general training |
| 16oz | Adult sparring |
| 18oz | Sparring for heavier boxers |
Lace-up gives the tightest wrist support. Velcro is quicker to put on by yourself. Still unsure? Read our glove guides.
