Description
Corner colors rule most gyms: red or blue, red or blue. Purple steps out of that conversation entirely, which is why this Winning Purple glove appeals to boxers who want to look different without looking odd.
Why purple is a smart choice
- It avoids the red and blue every other gym member wears.
- It is rich enough to hide marks and everyday wear.
- It suits training, shadow sessions and gym wear where corner color does not matter.
Sizes and closures
Choose from 6oz to 18oz, in Lace-Up or Velcro. Use 12oz for general training and 16oz for sparring.
Is purple allowed in competition?
Purple is not a standard corner color, so it suits training best. Check your federation's rules before using it in a bout.
Looking for more purple? See the Pink & Purple or the Royal Purple & Gold. All designs are in the Winning boxing gloves collection.
Winning Purple Boxing Gloves FAQ
Is solid purple a common boxing glove color?
No. Purple is much rarer than red, blue or black, which makes these gloves easy to spot in a busy gym.
Which purple Winning gloves are there?
Besides this solid purple, there is Royal Purple & Gold, Pink & Purple, Metallic Gray & Purple, and Silver, Black & Purple.
How should I store purple leather gloves?
Keep them out of direct sunlight, air-dry them open after training and avoid sealed plastic bags.
Size & fit
Glove weight is about what you do with them, not just how big your hands are. Most adults train in 14oz and spar in 16oz.
| Weight | Best for |
|---|---|
| 8–10oz | Pads, speed work, lighter boxers |
| 12–14oz | Heavy bag and general training |
| 16oz | Adult sparring |
| 18oz | Sparring for heavier boxers |
Lace-up gives the tightest wrist support. Velcro is quicker to put on by yourself. Still unsure? Read our glove guides.
